March 18, 2008 TuesdayWe took a taxi and went to “Alhambra”. We should have got tickets by phone or the internet but we didn’t. We thought if we got there early enough we would be ok. WRONG! We stood in line (and it was very cold!) for 3 hours and 40 minutes. When we got to the front of the line they announced that the tickets were sold out for the day! We were so mad. There was a cop there all morning. It is beyond me why he couldn’t count the people in line and then tell us sorry don’t wait any longer the tickets will be gone or something! It’s only the top place to visit in all of Spain!! Oh well what can I say; we can’t do it all I guess. We took a taxi back, ate lunch then we Got our rental car and headed for “Costa Del Sol.” We got to our hotel it’s a Marriott resort right on the Mediterranean coast. The hotel was really beautiful. We checked in and did our laundry. Nowhere had a laundry we could do ourselves so we finally had one but it was so funny the wash and the dryer each take 2 hours!! We hung out at the pool and on the beach for awhile. We ate dinner at the resort restaurant. We stay here two nights. Tomorrow we will head to “Ronda” it’s suppose to be a really cute city. It is where bull fighting started.
